Antonovka Apple
Antonovka is a heritage apple cultivar that originated in Kursk, Russia (before 1800). It was grown primarily for cooking, cider. A very old Russian variety, often planted at dachas. The U.S. Department of Agriculture documented it with a watercolour study, painted by Henry G. Van Deman, as official botanical identification records made before colour photography.
