Historical USDA watercolour of the Bailey Apple apple, painted c.1886–1942

Bailey is a heritage apple cultivar from Wyoming County, New York, US. It was grown primarily for eating, cooking. Red apple with considerable white flecks. The U.S. Department of Agriculture documented it with a watercolour study, painted by Bertha Heiges, as official botanical identification records made before colour photography.
