Beacon Apple
Beacon is a heritage apple cultivar that originated in Minnesota, US (introduced 1936). It was grown primarily for cooking, eating. Lively, juicy flavor; good for baking. The U.S. Department of Agriculture documented it with a watercolour study (1873), painted by Mary Daisy Arnold, as official botanical identification records made before colour photography.
