Beefsteak Apple
Beefsteak is a heritage apple cultivar that originated in Amesbury, Massachusetts, US (before 1870). It was grown primarily for eating. Stalk medium. The U.S. Department of Agriculture documented it with a watercolour study (1860), painted by Amanda Almira Newton, as official botanical identification records made before colour photography.
