Cannon Pearmain is a heritage apple cultivar that originated in Possibly North Carolina, US (before 1851). It was grown primarily for eating. A medium size, yellow apple with red flush. The U.S. Department of Agriculture documented it with a watercolour study (1860), painted by Amanda Almira Newton, as official botanical identification records made before colour photography.
