Cogswell is a heritage apple cultivar from Connecticut, US. It was grown primarily for eating. Width 84 mm, height 63 mm. The U.S. Department of Agriculture documented it with a watercolour study (1840), painted by Deborah Griscom Passmore, as official botanical identification records made before colour photography.
