Early McIntosh is a heritage apple cultivar that originated in Geneva, New York, US (introduced 1923). It was grown primarily for eating. P Yellow Transparent x McIntosh. The U.S. Department of Agriculture documented it with 6 watercolour studies (1872–1875), painted by Mary Daisy Arnold and James Marion Shull, as official botanical identification records made before colour photography.
