Hormead Pearmain Apple
Hormead Pearmain is a heritage apple cultivar that originated in Hertfordshire, England (before 1826). It was grown primarily for cooking. Medium conical, greenish yellow with light brown flush. The U.S. Department of Agriculture documented it with a watercolour study (1860), painted by Amanda Almira Newton, as official botanical identification records made before colour photography.
