Longfield Apple
Longfield is a heritage apple cultivar that originated in Russia (before 1870). It was grown primarily for eating. Width 70–83 mm, height 67–75 mm. The U.S. Department of Agriculture documented it with 4 watercolour studies (1840–1873), painted by Mary Daisy Arnold and Bertha Heiges, as official botanical identification records made before colour photography.
