Macoun is a heritage apple cultivar that originated in Geneva, New York (1909/1923). It was grown primarily for eating. P McIntosh x Jersey Black. The U.S. Department of Agriculture documented it with 2 watercolour studies (1873), painted by Mary Daisy Arnold, as official botanical identification records made before colour photography.
