Melba Apple
Melba is a heritage apple cultivar that originated in Ottawa, Canada (Raised 1898, Introduced 1909). It was grown primarily for eating. Green apple with red overcolour. The U.S. Department of Agriculture documented it with 5 watercolour studies (1872–1875), painted by Mary Daisy Arnold and James Marion Shull, as official botanical identification records made before colour photography.
