Minister Apple

Historical USDA watercolour of the Minister Apple apple, painted c.1886–1942

Minister is a heritage apple cultivar that originated in New England, US (before 1850). It was grown primarily for cooking. Tree healthy, vigorous, early bearer. The U.S. Department of Agriculture documented it with a watercolour study, painted by M. Strange, as official botanical identification records made before colour photography.
