Monmouth Apple
Monmouth is a heritage apple cultivar that originated in New Jersey, US (before 1848). It was grown primarily for eating. Width 78–85 mm, height 65–68 mm. The U.S. Department of Agriculture documented it with 5 watercolour studies (1840–1882), painted by Elsie E. b. Lower and Deborah Griscom Passmore, as official botanical identification records made before colour photography.
