Newfane is a heritage apple cultivar that originated in Geneva, New York, US (introduced 1927). It was grown primarily for eating. P Deacon Jones x Delicious. The U.S. Department of Agriculture documented it with 4 watercolour studies (1872–1873), painted by James Marion Shull and Mary Daisy Arnold, as official botanical identification records made before colour photography.
