Orleans Reinette Apple
Orleans Reinette is a heritage apple cultivar that originated in Orleans, France (before 1776). It was grown primarily for eating. Medium flat, rich red and golden russet. The U.S. Department of Agriculture documented it with a watercolour study (1840), painted by Deborah Griscom Passmore, as official botanical identification records made before colour photography.
