Puritan Apple
Puritan is a heritage apple cultivar that originated in Amherst, Massachusetts, US (Cross made c. 1931, Introduced 1953). It was grown primarily for eating. A red apple with white flesh, medium size. The U.S. Department of Agriculture documented it with a watercolour study (1875), painted by Royal Charles b. Steadman, as official botanical identification records made before colour photography.
