Red Canada Apple
Red Canada is an old New England winter apple, grown by the early nineteenth century and also known under names such as Steele's Red and Nonsuch. A firm, richly flavoured, red-washed apple, it keeps late and was valued for dessert and market. Its long history in northeastern orchards is reflected in the USDA record.
