Red Delicious Apple
Red Delicious is a heritage apple cultivar from Iowa, US. It was grown primarily for eating. Unmistakable for its acutely conic shape, dark red colour and telltale bumps. The U.S. Department of Agriculture documented it with 4 watercolour studies (1873–1875), painted by Mary Daisy Arnold and Royal Charles b. Steadman, as official botanical identification records made before colour photography.
