Reinette de Montmorency is a heritage apple cultivar dating to before 1800. It was grown primarily for cooking, eating. A yellow apple with red flush. The U.S. Department of Agriculture documented it with a watercolour study, painted by Bertha Heiges, as official botanical identification records made before colour photography.
