Stanard is a heritage apple cultivar that originated in New York, US (before 1850). It was grown primarily for eating, cooking. Width 88 mm, height 72 mm. The U.S. Department of Agriculture documented it with 4 watercolour studies (1840–1875), painted by Royal Charles b. Steadman and Deborah Griscom Passmore, as official botanical identification records made before colour photography.
