Stark is a heritage apple cultivar that originated in Possibly Ohio, US (before 1867). It was grown primarily for eating, cooking. Width 92 mm, height 84 mm. The U.S. Department of Agriculture documented it with 8 watercolour studies (1860–1875), painted by Amanda Almira Newton and Mary Daisy Arnold, as official botanical identification records made before colour photography.
