Sweet Bough Apple

Historical USDA watercolour of the Sweet Bough Apple apple, painted 1875

Sweet Bough is a heritage apple cultivar that originated in US (before 1806). It was grown primarily for eating. One of the finest summer apples, greenish-yellow. The U.S. Department of Agriculture documented it with a watercolour study (1875), painted by Royal Charles b. Steadman, as official botanical identification records made before colour photography.
