Trumbull Sweet Apple

Historical USDA watercolour of the Trumbull Sweet Apple apple, painted 1860

Trumbull Sweet is a heritage apple cultivar that originated in Ohio, US (before 1850). It was grown primarily for baking. Flesh is white, juicy, sweet. The U.S. Department of Agriculture documented it with a watercolour study (1860), painted by Amanda Almira Newton, as official botanical identification records made before colour photography.
