Washington Strawberry is a heritage apple cultivar that originated in New York, US (before 1849). It was grown primarily for eating. Width 88 mm, height 75 mm. The U.S. Department of Agriculture documented it with 4 watercolour studies (1873–1875), painted by Royal Charles b. Steadman and Bertha Heiges, as official botanical identification records made before colour photography.
