Water is a heritage apple cultivar that originated in Pennsylvania, US (before 1850). It was grown primarily for eating. Width 70 mm, height 70 mm. The U.S. Department of Agriculture documented it with a watercolour study (1875), painted by Royal Charles b. Steadman, as official botanical identification records made before colour photography.
