President Drouard Pear
President Drouard is a heritage pear cultivar that originated in Angers, France (introduced 1870). It was grown primarily for eating. Pick mid-October. Use November–January. The U.S. Department of Agriculture documented it with a watercolour study, painted by Bertha Heiges, as official botanical identification records made before colour photography.
