Tyson Pear
Tyson is a heritage pear cultivar that originated in Philadelphia, US (1794). It was grown primarily for eating. Tree is hardy and fireblight reistant. Hardy in zone 5–8. Pick early. The U.S. Department of Agriculture documented it with 3 watercolour studies (1873–1875), painted by Ellen Isham Schutt and Royal Charles b. Steadman, as official botanical identification records made before colour photography.
